Airlines and Traveling with Your Firearms

We recommend flying into the Sioux Falls, South Dakota airport and have found Northwest Airlines to be the airline most accommodating to individuals flying with their dogs. In the world's current atmosphere, it's best to know the regulations prior to traveling with your firearms. Various airlines are listed as well as ground shippers. It is recommended that if you are transporting ammunition, keep it in the manufacturer's box and tape it closed to avoid the contents spilling out in your luggage. It is advisable to check with the airline for current policies, requirements and restrictions on firearms and related items in checked luggage prior to your time of travel.
